microphone2Big Bash Entertainment is a live concert promotion and entertainment production company based in Pittsburgh, PA. Big Bash Entertainment is owned and operated by Jonathan Rinaldo, a veteran of the Pittsburgh live entertainment industry.

Jonathan is former owner of Joker Productions which was based in Pittsburgh. He produced thousands of concerts from 1989 to 2011, working with such notable national artists as OneRepublic, The Avett Brothers, Blink 182, The Roots, Morrissey, Maroon 5, Goo Goo Dolls, 311, Blink 182, Wu Tang Clan, Pharrell Williams, John Mayer, Daughtry, Eminem, LMFAO, All Time Low and other high profile artists.

Jonathan started his career in the live entertainment industry in 1989 at the Graffiti Showcase. In 1997, he moved his company to Club Laga. Club Laga grew into one of the most sought after live music venues for artists to perform while making a stop in Pittsburgh, PA. Jonathan was the In House Promoter at Laga from 1998 until it’s closing in 2004. In 2004, Jonathan became a venue owner, re-opening the defunct venue, Rosebud, and renaming it “The World”. He closed down The World in early 2005. During that time, Jonathan had become the In House Promoter at Club Café. He held this position from 2003 until 2007. Eager to promote mid-size artists, Jonathan moved to Diesel Club Lounge in June 2007. He was the In House Promoter at Diesel from 2007 until 2011. In 2011, Jonathan called it quits and after a 20+ year existence, Joker Productions, was no more.

Jonathan was acknowledged as one of the top leaders in the Pittsburgh Arts & Entertainment industry by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. He was recognized on the PPG’s “Cultural Power Brokers” list from 2001 to 2004, reaching as high as #4 in 2004. His live concerts have been noted by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette as the top concerts of the year. From 2000 – 2011, Jonathan had over 15 concerts recognized in the PG’s Top 10 Year End Review.

He was also a leader in overall event sales and was recognized nationally by Pollstar Magazine, reaching as high as #26 in overall sales in the nation.

In 2016, Jonathan launched a new concert promotion company, Big Bash Entertainment. He was also named as the Talent Buyer for Diesel Club Lounge and ampd group, handling all of the booking of the national concerts at the venue.

With over 28 years of experience in the entertainment industry, Jonathan’s knowledge and expertise in talent buying and producing concerts, is a positive and welcome return to the Pittsburgh market.
